Why choose Arnold Zweig,
M.D., A facial specialist |
Dr. Zweig has two board certifications and has specialized entirely in the face and neck for over 25 years. He has concentrated on developing the skill, knowledge, and judgment to provide cosmetic patients with the best advice, treatment plan, and surgical care. Ongoing application and refinement of skills as well as the luxury of seeing how time and aging affects his patients allows him a unique understanding of the best approach to take with surgical and non-surgical techniques. It is the years of ongoing learning, honing skills and techniques that lead to his excellent results.
“I am often asked if I do a certain procedure (usually the latest thing on 20/20 or reported in Vogue, or an extreme makeover reality show). I don’t adopt it until it meets my criteria. It must be safe and effective. It must have an extremely low rate of complications. It must produce natural results. It must appear in a respected scientific journal and be subjected to rigorous debate and criticism over a reasonable period of time! Finally, it must produce better results than my current techniques.”

“There are countless doctors talking about new and revolutionary techniques. Few make it past the publicist’s effort to get headlines and PR. Even fewer make it into respected medical journals and maintain acceptance. Many newer techniques are discarded after a few years when delayed problems or complications come to light.
You can appreciate my reasons for being cautious if you realize that your first chance at cosmetic surgery is your best chance. Revision surgery is seldom as predictable as the primary surgery. Do you want your face to be a part of a doctor’s learning curve? Why should I risk your outcome by taking a chance on a fad?”
You’ll see evolutionary changes occurring in my practice. Revolutionary advances are desirable in cancer treatment but are not suitable for a cosmetic surgery practice!
